Recently, LBM has made significant progress in the field of positive electrode materials, officially releasing a new positive electrode material called T246 for low temperature and high rate requirements. This product not only retains the technical advantages of Lithium Iron 1 in low temperature performance, but also achieves new breakthroughs in rate performance, marking LBM's continuous exploration in specific technical directions that will redefine the performance boundaries of lithium iron phosphate batteries.
At present, in the power battery market, low temperature and endurance have always been a difficult problem that cannot be balanced between fish and bear's paw, and T246 material has shown excellent balance characteristics in battery performance optimization. At a low temperature of -20 ℃, the capacity retention rate of this material can reach over 60% and has a relatively stable capacity retention ability. At the same time, within the normal operating temperature range, its high powder compaction (greater than 2.40g/cm ³) and optimized particle size distribution provide a relatively balanced energy density performance for the battery, enabling the battery system equipped with this material to achieve a balance between low temperature and endurance performance.
This product achieves a more uniform lithium-ion crystal structure, shorter transmission path, faster migration rate, and better conductivity through processes such as precursor nanoization and bulk doping. As a result, excellent fast instantaneous charging and discharging performance has been achieved, with 1C charging and discharging capacities of over 160mAh/g and 145mAh/g respectively, an increase of 7.6% compared to the original product. The high rate performance is particularly suitable for the heavy-duty commercial vehicle market that requires high horsepower output.
T246 not only balances low temperature and rate performance, but also takes into account potential cost advantages. By optimizing the process and raw material system, this material significantly reduces production costs while maintaining basic electrochemical performance, providing a more cost-effective option for low-temperature application scenarios and a technological path that balances performance and economy for the industry.
