On March 21st, LBM, a subsidiary of LOPAL TECH, a listed company, announced its revolutionary "first generation LFP regeneration technology" at the LOPAL DAY global new technology conference, redefining the sustainable development path of the lithium battery industry with a three in one strategy of "resource recycling+technology disruption+full chain collaboration".
Cracking the Resource Gap Dilemma
The "first generation regeneration technology" is jointly developed by LBM and Huawei, and has applied for patent protection. This technology is a disruptive innovation that involves finely disassembling and crushing waste electrode sheets or non liquid filled battery cells, followed by high-temperature impurity removal using a short process pyrometallurgical regeneration process, and finally obtaining high-performance LFP positive electrode materials through carbon thermal reduction. The product prepared from this has a powder compaction density exceeding 2.39g/cm ³, with evenly distributed particles of different sizes, and its performance surpasses that of the new second-generation compact LFP product. More importantly, this advanced preparation technology significantly reduces the cost of recycled products compared to traditional LFP, providing customers with excellent economic benefits.
A technological moat that crosses the EU's "green tariff" barriers
Behind technological breakthroughs lies a deep insight into industry demand. When the EU's "Battery Regulation" raises the requirement for the proportion of recycled materials in new batteries to 16% by 2027 and 26% by 2031, and imposes 10-20% tariff sanctions on companies that fail to meet the standards, China's lithium battery industry is facing a life and death battle to enter the trillion dollar market. The "first generation regeneration technology" that LBM has laid out in advance is becoming a "green passport" for battery companies to break through trade barriers. At present, the technology has completed stability production verification for over 100 batches, which can help customers quickly build a renewable material supply chain that meets international standards and avoid tariff losses.
Open up the green growth pole of lithium battery industry
With the large-scale production of LFP materials using "first generation regeneration technology", LBM not only promotes the strategic transformation of China's lithium battery industry from "resource dependence" to "technology output", but also provides a Chinese paradigm for the global carbon neutrality process by building a full system solution of regeneration process standards and closed-loop industrial chain, truly opening up a new era of "green competitiveness" in the industry.
